I think it's a marketing thing. They're trying to encourage people to buy the "friends" of dolls they already have and they are trying to give an incentive for us to buy them. Also, maybe they're trying to get new customers to buy the new "friend" doll as their first doll (after having seen the movie) and they're trying to make it seem like AG clothes and accessories are really quite affordable...lol!
